After news broke thatKhloé Kardashian’s boyfriendTristan Thompsonallegedly hooked up with Woods,sources have told PEOPLEthat Jenner, 21, has been distraught over potentially losing her longtime best friend to such a deep betrayal. The question now is whether Jenner and Woods will be able to reconcile.
“For Kylie, it’s much more difficult. She has basically lost part of her world,” said one source. “She is very, very upset. She always trusted Jordyn with everything.”

The two have been best friends since high school, with Woods, also 21, moving in with Jenner in recent years, accompanying her on lavish vacations and helping take care of Jenner’s daughterStormi Webster.
“Kylie just can’t make sense of what happened,” the source said. “She still has so many questions for Jordyn. Who knows when Kylie will get over this.”
Sources told PEOPLE that the Kardashians thought of Woods as more than Jenner’s best friend — she was a member of the “extended family.”
“This wasn’t like a friend of her younger sister. This was a member of their extended family,” one source said. “She shares every birthday and celebration. The Kardashians welcome you in and honor every moment in their shared lives. Knowing the anguish [Khloé] had gone through, everyone is still in shock. It’s the ultimate betrayal.”
The Kardashians certainly showed generosity towards Woods, as a sourceconfirmed to PEOPLEthat Jennerbought Woods a carand would throw birthday parties for her closest confidante.
The two have been inseparable over the years, with Woods leveraging her fame via Jenner intocollaborationswith brands like TooFaced — and gaining more than 8 million Instagram followers along the way.
And it’s not all business: Woods frequently accompanies Jenner on getaways, like thetropical vacationthey took in January to celebrate Stormi’s first birthday.
Woods and Jenner evengot “married"with a commitment ceremony on a trip to Peru together that was chronicled in the season finale ofLife of Kyliein September 2017.
A source told PEOPLE that Woods has beenattempting to apologizeto her friend.
“Jordyn has been trying to reach out to Khloé, Kylie and everyone else in the family to apologize,” said the source. “She wants to apologize and make everything right.”
Though Woods hasn’t directly addressed the scandal, the source said she “knows she made a mistake.” (She didstep out on Thursdayfor the launch event for herEylure X Jordyn Woods Lashesin Los Angeles, telling attendees: “Thank you guys for coming out and supporting me through everything that’s going on. It doesn’t appear that Jenner intends to forgive Woods anytime soon, though, as multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Woods ismoving out of Jenner’s houseand back to her mother’s home. “It’s been a difficult time and she’s broken up about it,” one insider said. “She’s heading home to be with her mom.”

“When they first started hearing on Monday that Tristan made out with Jordyn, no one really believed it,” one source said. “That Tristan would be inappropriate, yes everyone knows that he can’t behave, but that Jordyn would make out with him, it first seemed like a made-up rumor.”
