James Middletonis marking his first Christmas as a father.
James also remembered his beloved dog Ella, who died in January, with a photo of the pup placed on top of his Christmas tree.
“The angel on our tree watching over us,” he captioned the post. “My first Christmas in 16 years without Ella but our first with Inigo. Happy Christmas from my family to yours.”
James even credited Ella with introducing him to his wife. In a 2019 essay forThe Telegraph,he revealed that he met Alizee at the South Kensington Club in Chelsea after his cocker spaniel “made a beeline” for the French financial analyst. Mistaking James for a server, Alizee ordered a drink, and the rest is history.

Earlier this month, James and Alizeebrought Inigo to a special holiday event. They attended the Dogs Trust Carol Concert at Chelsea Old Church in London with Mabel and Isla, two of their six dogs, and James read the poem “What I Learned about Love, I Learned from my Dog."
