get across to viewAfter holding the D3 and D300 for several minute , the Digital Rebel XTi I ’m using ( blasphemy at a Nikon event , I acknowledge ) finger like a blinking toy — when I fire the D3 on burst mode , I felt like Arnold firing the minigun in T2 between the rapid clacking and the weight . I ’ve never have got a more solid - smell camera , though . ( The D300 is n’t exactly a featherweight either , but you wo n’t involve to withdraw some Spinacia oleracea beforehand . ) And the LCD screens : gorgeous . You could watch pic on them . skip to keep reading and see the D300 from all angles .
I did have a bit of trouble navigate the D3 ’s control despite the in spades tout Italian figure and had to ask for some help , but I was n’t to a fault familiar with its herald , which could be why I had some hassle . The D300 has a simpler layout , so I had an easier time . But you may look at the immense galleries and decide for yourself on the new layout .
The one down spot is that they were really adamantine about me not crib a sample shot from either camera to upload , the reason being the cameras are stilled considered “ prototypes ” and not “ mass production ” model . Still , it ’s a little dissatisfactory / disconcerting .
