It ’s a feature article many Facebook users have been request for years – a button so they can not only vote “ up ” Wiley Post , but also vote them down if they do n’t like something . And now , Facebook have revealed they ’re working on something in that regard – but it ’s not exactly a “ dislike ” clit . Perhaps it ’s salutary to call it a"sorry " button .

In a   Q&A session at Facebook ’s military headquarters in California yesterday , CEO Mark Zuckerberg read they were develop a clitoris so that citizenry could show empathy for posts . For example , if someone harbinger the death of a relative , or posts about a sombre event , you could sink in this button to show sympathy , rather than “ like ” it and perhaps seeminginsincereor   insensitive .

“ Not every moment is a good moment , right ? ” read Zuckerberg at theevent . “ And if you are share something that is sad , whether it ’s something in current event like the refugee crisis that touches you or if a family member passed away , then it might not finger comfortable to Like that post . But your friends and people want to be able-bodied to express that they sympathize and that they relate to you . ”

Facebook has n’t announce what the button will be call , or what symbol it will apply , but as it ’s not really a “ disfavor ” button it ’s unlikely to be a “ thumbs down ” image , as is often tout . There ’s also no firm release appointment for the new feature yet , which Zuckerberg say they had been working on for a while . But he added it was “ astonishingly complicated ” to make the apparently gentle feature , no doubt due to the various algorithms Facebook uses to sort posts that may require to be changed .

you may watch over Zuckerberg reveal   the " dislike " button at the event in the television above . Facebook .

Zuckerberg stressed the point that there wo n’t be a   true “ dislike ”   button any time shortly . “ We did n’t want to just build a ' dislike ' button because we do n’t want to sour Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people ’s posts , ” he said . “ That does n’t seem like the kind of residential district we want to make . You do n’t want to go through the process of sharing some moment that ’s important to you in your solar day and then have someone down vote it . That is n’t what we ’re here to ramp up in the world . ”

So there you have it . Facebook will soon have a newfangled feature . Empathy release ? Solemn pat on the back ? Poke of sympathy ? Who knows what it will be called . But there are   a few free suggestions for you , Mark .
