At least that ’s the arguing of theWalk of Life Project , the inspiration of Peter Salomone , a freelance video recording editor and writer . And I ’m inclined to tally with him . Slap “ Walk of Life ” to the end of any moving picture and it at once becomes 400 percent better . That ’s just science .
The Matrix , Dr. Strangelove , Dark Knight Rises — they’re all well if you exchange the soundtrack to their final scenes with Dire Straits ’ “ Walk of Life . ”

So how did this project come to be ?
“ My friend joked that ‘ Walk of Life ’ would be the perfect funeral song , ” Salomone severalize me over electronic mail . “ So then I just sort of melded that approximation with my love of movie end . ”
“ I tried a few ( Star Wars , 2001 , and The Matrix ) and I was surprised at how well they synced up , ” he sum . “ I did n’t re - blue-pencil the movie clips visually . I just discover a good starting distributor point for the call and the rest just fell into office , ” said Salomone .
