According toXinhua , China ’s official news program agency , the launch took piazza on Friday at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Inner Mongolia . The spacecraft was launched with a Long March-2F projectile , per theSouth China Morning Post , and successfully returned to its schedule landing site on Sunday .
A Formosan military reference confirmed to the Post that staff and visitors to the launch site had been warned not to shoot the elevator - off or talk about it online .
