WhileChainsaw Man’smangahas been putting fans through the wringer the retiring few eld , we ’ve not find out much about its pretty goodanime adaptationin quite a while . StudioMAPPA’sbeen quite meddling , but last class , it revealed it ’d go back to Denji and Pochita not with a new season , but a film — which acquire its first look at this weekend ’s Jump Festa .
Based on the manga ’s “ Reze ” arc , the film finds Denji excited to finally go on a day of the month with his boss Makima . It ’s not long after that he find himself crossing paths with a sweet young lady named Reze who seems to care hang out with him , and the youthful ( chainsaw ) mankind ca n’t aid but be smitten with her . unluckily , it turns out Reze ’s design are n’t quite as pure as they seemed , and she ’s a Devil , just like him . As such , Denji ’s got ta fight his new crush and save Japan from the chaos she wants to cook up . And part of that will involve riding a shark in midair because … well , it’sChainsaw Man , sometimes that ’s just part of the job .
When MAPPA ’s work looks secure , it looksgood , and this moving-picture show seems to be no exclusion . BetweenChainsaw Man’sfirst season andReze , the studio ’s continually push itself — often literally , and inworrying ways — and you could see the resultant role of that effort here . TheRezemovie ’s gestate to drop in 2025 , in what ’s go to be a pretty big year for MAPPA : in gain to this , its other filmRose of Versaillesis dropping , and it ’ll be releasingLazarusfor Adult Swim , the original seriesZenshu , and another time of year ofCampfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill .

As for whenChainsaw Man’sgetting a right season two , MAPPA did n’t say . But if new seasons forJujutsu Kaisen , Ranma 1/2,andHell ’s Paradiseare coming , that hopefully ca n’t be far behind .
