• Antikythera Computer c. 1st Century B.C. Discovered in 1900 , amongst relics of an ancient wreck , the mechanism contained in the twist was uncovered in 2006 . Though it is ill-defined how it work out exactly , the navigational tool was thought to be used onboard ships as an early pre - compass type dick .
