What could be well than a zombi spirit , werewolf and vampire rotund table at NYCC , I thought ? All my friend on one venire , talking about parentage and mental capacity and material … but alas , only humans appeared .
Upon learning that I would be attend the Vampire , Werewolf and Zombie Round Table venire here atComic Con , I was ecstatic with the promise of changelings and form - shifters sitting around an actual round table , sipping descent from java mugs , eating human body and tussock of hair uncontrollably erupting from their bodies . I was disappointed , therefore , to arrive to the panel and find bare humans sitting tamely behind a recollective rectangular table at the front of the stage – some in reality filtering in late , clear lack the extra - human instinct to check their ticker .
The panel in the first place consist of authors such as Caitlin Kittredge , whose Nocturne City series features a werewolf detective as its protagonist , and ampere-second - oauthors of Zombiemania , an thoroughgoing guide to living dead in film , Andrew Hershberger and Arnold T. Blumber . A vampire detective series also was mentioned , as ostensibly the heightened senses of these monsters leads to a lucrative career in crime conniption investigation .

But still I stand there nictate waiting for the panellist to change their shape and get down fighting , bite or attacking the bunch . This panel is a Trygve Lie .
To be average , the ancient battle between werewolf and lamia was a touched upon , as well as the crew mind-set of automaton and human race ’ enchantment with the creatures that once were human themselves . The panel did have an interesting give-and-take about the increased demand for repulsion and dark fantasy during times of political fermentation and rigourousness , plainly illustrated by the Twilight fad and demand for books of that like . But , although the gore were arguably experts on their giant of choice and answered audience members ’ question happily , I remained disappointed that I would not in fact be speaking directly to lycanthropes and the undead and could n’t really centre on the marketing distinctions between benighted fantasy and revulsion talk over by the instrument panel .
And of course , to top it all off , disparaging remarks about Twilight were made by all .
