Hollywood ’s favourite pursuit is remaking movie , or at the very least , slapping on another sequel and making millions . While that ’s all fun and ripe — I’m look forward to the new Star Wars , Jurassic Park , and Terminator like everyone else — many other sci - fi motion picture also merit adequate reboot / subsequence attention .
I asked that very question last weekand the responses only show that Hollywood has slews of great reboot candidates at its administration . Just … please … no more transformer .

distance vampires that eat your very essence instead of your blood . The idea is very nerveless . It has an extraterrestrial appeal , it is also vampires . However , it is kind of date now and could stomach to be reinvented .

The devil as a multidimensional being exhaust by a supernova , this would be a great reboot . Modern quantum purgative coupled with questioning horror about exotic descent of religion . have sex this flick as a kid , someone could do a great job with this .

The picture is almost 30 year old , and in the right hand , maybe it could be pull out off evenhandedly and without detrimental childhood memories . golem are still comparatively primitive , and events like Malayan Air Flight 370 ’s disappearance show that RADAR and other tracking method are imperfect .

Being recruited to join an intergalactic adventure ground on your prowess behind a video biz joystick is ( or at least should be ) the dream of every kid . The Last Starfighter is a jewel of ’ 80s skill fable , but the series is advanced for a reboot , or even safe , a sequel . It ’s kid - friendly , love by its now - grownup fans , and with tons of cool aliens and ship , just think of the selling .
Rewatched it on Halloween . It ’s still awful . completely worthy of a subsequence , although I hazard you could say Interstellar is it ’s big - budget PG13 sequel … I see it as a campy horror movie in space . The handwriting is somewhat nonsensical , the supporting characters are mainly stereotypes , but the blood flows like wine and it does a big job at building the scare and the art counselling is tremendous . I love it .

I ’d care to see a advanced respin of this . They were supposed to run out of meter at 21 and not 30 . This would outfit in perfectly with the popularity of young - adult dystopia flick . I am surprised it has not been re - made yet .

I think Dune needs an Zanzibar copal interpreting . It ’s eldritch in all the right-hand gum anime ways , and the pacing of the books has not historically read well to live action . Leto II would play intimately drawn than CGI I expect though the Sandworms are anyone ’s guess .

conceive of if instead of Captain James T. Kirk and the notorious Gornfighting each other to death , they became best friends . You ’d fundamentally have Enemy Mine . This one feels particularly ripe for a reboot as the world needs remind , especially lately , that very , very dissimilar beings can still become the best of friends .

A little of a Teen movie peradventure , but i just loved the concept of Jumper , there ’s so much potential drop , also you could believe with portal a la Portal .

As much fun as Paul Verhoeven ’s 1997 adaptation may be , its law of similarity to the Bible were only trivial . Much of Heinlein ’s political commentary was totally abstracted ( if not marginalized or unfairly represented ) . Also , there were n’t any exponent suits !

So … yeah … this has n’t ever been a motion-picture show , but that very fact makes me question the sanity of the human race . badly . This Arthur C. Clarke classic is looooong delinquent for a cinematic treatment and is really just one illustration of tons and tons of skill fabrication that has unjustly never made it to the boastful screen .
